The Most Worthwhile Way of Spending Time Is Fulfilling Our PassionsHave your say… leave a comment below after you read!
The most worthwhile use of our time is to spend it fulfilling our passions, our need to create and our need to be of service to others.Rather than spending the bulk of our time and energy carrying out thankless and often unnecessary tasks, why not focus our time and energy on doing what we love? Doing what we love not only fulfills our own desires, but is usually the best form of creating something that is of value and benefit to others. If you really take a look at the way you are spending time, you may be shocked. Are you spending most of your free time on things that are trivial or things that are truly worthwhile to you? Many of us worry much more about wasting our money than we do about wasting our time. But here’s the catch. Time is actually far more valuable than money, and it is something that we have a limited amount of.
By doing the thing that you most want to do, that would be the most fulfilling. Think of what activity would give you the most real joy at any given moment, and I would bet it won’t be endlessly folding laundry, mowing the lawn, or polishing the silverware. Yes, chores do need to be attended to. Living in chaos is not joyful- not for most of us. The trouble is that chores are never-ending, and your available time is not. There is always something else to do on our lists, but if it can be put off, then put it off. Give priority to your passions. By spending time doing what we love, we feel good about ourselves. We feel good about life, and the world we live in. We want to create, we want to share, we want to give, we want to help. This is good. Very good! This is the essence of living a purposeful life, and creating meaning for ourselves. By pursuing your passions, you will not only be making yourself happier, but you will be able to create your own ‘music.’ ‘Music’ that can be played to enhance not only your own life, but the lives of those around you. What could be more worthwhile than that?
