Spiritual Affirmations for
Mind Body Spirit Balance

Have your say… leave a comment below after you read!

Spiritual affirmations work in the same fashion as any affirmations. By repeating something over and over, you eventually create a belief. A belief is formed simply by habit of thought, and most of our beliefs were created in our childhood – way before we became aware of the possibility that we could choose what thoughts we wanted to think, and decide consciously what beliefs we wished to adopt.

When using spiritual affirmations, or any other affirmations, it is important to begin with the amount of change that you feel is believable at a stretch. While it is essential to step out of the comfort zone of what you are used to telling yourself in order to create positive change, it is also important to take things at your own pace.

If you currently feel that it is impossible to believe that you are perfect and divine, it is not realistic or helpful to start affirming that ‘I am perfect and divine.’ Your mind is simply going to rebel, and when you are mentally fighting against what you are affirming, it only creates inner conflict rather than positive change. Start with affirmations that are one step up from where you currently feel that you are. When you become comfortable with the affirmation that you are using, you can then move up to the next level, gradually building up your ability to accept the belief that you truly want to have.

Some spiritual affirmations can help us begin to replace the belief that we are unworthy or inadequate with the acceptance that we are Divine and we are part of the Source of Life that creates all things. The affirmations listed below start from creating a willingness to explore new ways of thinking, through to powerful statements of fact.

  • I accept that the beliefs I hold are causing me to feel inadequate, and that there are other beliefs it is possible to hold.

  • I see that there are people in the world who hold empowering beliefs about their own connection to the Divine, and I am willing to consider that if it is possible for others, it is possible for me.

  • I begin to play with the concept in my mind that I am profoundly connected to the Divine, and explore the idea that this means I am also divine.

  • I want to believe that I am part of the Divine and that, as such, I am also divine.

  • I affirm that it is possible to choose beliefs that empower me, and I am willing to begin choosing these beliefs for myself.

  • I am willing to believe that I am part of the Divine and that, as such, I am also divine and perfect.

  • I decide to believe that I am part of the Divine and that, as such, I am also divine and perfect.

  • I am now changing my belief and beginning to accept that I am part of the Divine and that, as such, I am also divine and perfect.

  • I believe that I am part of the Divine and that, as such, I am also divine and perfect.

  • I am part of the Divine and, as such, I am also divine and perfect.

  • I am divine and perfect.

These gradual steps of increasingly powerful affirmation can be used with any belief that you want to transform, whether you are creating spiritual affirmations, or any other type of affirmations.

Some spiritual affirmations can help to truly accept and believe that we are always supported by our Higher Power.

  • The loving power of the Divine surrounds me always, and I trust fully in the unfailing support and devoted guidance of my Higher Power.

  • I know that I live in a loving Universe, and everything in it is working powerfully for my highest good.

Other spiritual affirmations can help us to believe in, develop and trust our own inner guidance.

  • I need not worry about anything. All I need to do is to tune into my inner guidance, and trust that it will always show me the way.

  • I trust that my soul has infinite wisdom, and I allow myself to slow down and listen to its guidance.

  • My inner knowing is always there to guide me, and I am learning to listen and trust its messages.

Every area of our lives can benefit from using spiritual affirmations to create a healthy and positive balance between our inner and outer realities. If you would like help in identifying areas in your beliefs that need balancing, and creating and implementing powerful affirmations, talk to me about spiritual life coaching.
