Life coaching can help you in so many ways to create and enjoy a wonderful, happy, and successful life. In this article and video, I want to share with you ten of these ways that life coaching can assist you in living the life you want, and deserve to live. Life coaching has become very popular in recent times, as people are realizing that the advantages sportspeople have been achieving for years from coaching can be applied to every aspect of our lives.

  1. Life coaching can help you identify the areas of your life that are not working the way you would like them to. So often people have a sense that all is not the way they want in areas of their lives, but need to get a clear picture on exactly what the elements are that are causing the dissatisfaction. To begin creating change, it is vital to figure out exactly what change is needed.

  2. Coaching can help you figure out what you want, and create clear and measurable goals. Once you have identified what you don’t like about your current reality, you need to get a very clear picture of what you do want. When you know what you want, you can then define goals that will give you something concrete to aim for.

    Saying “I want to be happy,” is not a definable goal – you need to ask what happiness means for you in concrete terms. Life coaching can help you to define what will be happening in your reality that will let you know that you have achieved what you set out to achieve.

  3. Life coaching can aid you in identifying your core values, and find ways to integrate these into your life and goals. It can also help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, and ways of capitalizing on the former and strengthening the latter.

  4. Life coaching can help you identify ways that you are holding yourself back with negative beliefs, or habits of thought or behavior, and then work with you in transforming these areas.

  5. Life coaching can assist you in coming up with alternatives on how to get from where you are now to where you want to be and help you select which alternative is the best suited to your needs and personality.

  6. Coaching can help you form a concrete action plan to implement this alternative and to break this action plan into small and manageable action steps and work with you in making a schedule for implementing these action steps.

  7. Life coaching can help you identify possible obstacles that may hinder your implementation of the action step and help you formulate methods of handling these obstacles, should they arise.

  8. Life coaching helps you shift your attention away from the areas of your life that you are less than happy with, and transfer that energy into creating the results that you do want. It helps you stay motivated and on track with your plan.

  9. Life coaching provides tools and techniques that can help you work towards your goal effectively, and determine which techniques are best suited to your unique needs.

  10. Coaching can help you monitor and assess your progress, and help you adjust the course you are on as needed. Coaching can help you to keep your vision clear in your mind, and celebrate your progress as you reach your milestones. By looking at how far you have come, and appreciating your efforts, it becomes easier and easier to build on that success.
