Inspirational prayers can help us to clear away the shadows, and allow our true creativity and radiance to shine through. The very word inspiration comes from being ‘in spirit.’ Using prayer to develop and strengthen our connection to the spirit within and around us is a wonderful way to become more and more inspired.

Affirmative inspirational prayers can be created along the same guidelines as any other affirmative prayers. The key to affirmative prayer is focusing on the fact that what we are seeking to experience more of (in this case inspiration), is already present in our lives (within and around us).

Below is an inspirational prayer that I wrote, and following the prayer is a step by step guide to creating affirmative prayers.

Dear ___________ (Name of your Higher Power),

I thank You for the amazing inspiration and creativity that is within and around me always as Your beloved child. I decide to allow more of this inspiration to fill every aspect of my life. I take time to connect deeply with You, and with my own spirit. In doing so, inspiration flows freely through me, and into every aspect of my life. I nurture my connection to the beauty of the world around me, and soak in the sense of wonder that this amazing beauty inspires. I open my eyes to all the miracles that surround me, and open my heart to giving and receiving more and more love and joy. I allow the strength of Your love to sweep away the clouds of doubt, fear and worry that prevent the full expression of the creativity, joy, and inspiration that are within me, waiting to be enjoyed and expressed. I am filled to overflowing with passion and excitement for the amazing adventure of life, and I embrace the inspiration that is always within my reach. I thank you for the incredible inspiration that is now manifesting in every aspect of my life.

I am In Spirit and Inspired.

In crafting inspirational prayers (or any affirmative prayers), try including the following important ‘ingredients’:

• A commencement of the prayer using the name of your Higher Power.
  For me it is ‘Dear Spirit of Love.’

• A statement of gratitude for the abundant existence of inspiration within and around.
  I thank You for the amazing inspiration and creativity that is within and around me always as Your beloved child.

• A declaration of intent to experience more of this inspiration.
  I decide to allow more of this inspiration to fill every aspect of my life.

• An affirmation that you are taking positive action to enable more inspiration to manifest in your life.
  I take time to connect deeply with You, and with my own spirit.

• An affirmative statement of the results of this positive action.
  In doing so, inspiration flows freely through me, and into every aspect of my life.

• Further affirmations of positive action.
  I nurture my connection to the beauty of the world around me, and soak in the sense of wonder that this amazing beauty inspires. I open my eyes to all the miracles that surround me, and open my heart to giving and receiving more and more love and joy.

• An affirmative statement of receiving the support of your Higher Power in removing any barriers to experiencing inspiration.
  I allow the strength of Your love to sweep away the clouds of doubt, fear and worry that prevent the full expression of the creativity, joy, and inspiration that are within me, waiting to be enjoyed and expressed.

• A powerful positive affirmation of being filled with inspiration.
  I am filled to overflowing with passion and excitement for the amazing adventure of life, and I embrace the inspiration that is always within my reach.

• A powerful statement of gratitude for what is now manifesting.
  I thank you for the incredible inspiration that is now manifesting in every aspect of my life.

• A closing of the prayer with a statement that ‘it is so.’
  I am In Spirit and Inspired.

  The very most important thing in creating or using inspirational prayers, or any prayers, is to listen to your heart.
