Find Opportunities Everywhere
If You Really Look

You Find Opportunities When You Look.

How do you find opportunities to fulfill your life passion, live your dreams, and follow your purpose?

The answer is so very simple, and yet so often ignored. The best way, in fact practically the only way, to discover opportunities is to look.

So many of us walk around wearing blinders, it is no wonder that we fail to notice the abundance of opportunities that life offers us.

To find opportunities, you need to open your mind, your heart, and your eyes. Chances are that great opportunities to follow your heart are right in front of you. If you are so busy looking at the forest of chores and obligations that most people get caught up in, you won’t see the trees of opportunity that grow everywhere.

If you allow your mind to become cluttered with the mundane details of daily life, you won’t have any space in your head to be on the lookout for opportunities- even when they are practically falling in your lap.

Have you ever had a friend hit you over the head to make you notice that a certain job, admirer, or training course would be great for you? Well, that is true for just about everyone I know, including me. We find it so much easier to see what great things our friends could be doing than what we could be doing.

Bring your hopes and dreams to the front of your mind. Think about them often and you will be amazed at how shifting your center of attention can help open your eyes to chances you may just not have seen if your focus was elsewhere. To help you really focus on what you want in your life, use creative visualization and positive affirmations.

Creative visualization is painting a picture in your mind of exactly what you would like to have happening in your life. Make it immediate- see yourself joyfully running a successful restaurant, painting beautiful murals, or creating a great computer program- not in five years time, but now.

Affirmations are powerful statements that we make to ourselves, stating that what we want is now actually happening, for example, “I am now creating a popular and effective computer program,” or whatever it is that you wish you were doing. Affirmations can help you find the momentum to start pursuing your dreams, as well as help you to find opportunities to explore your passions.

The mind has an amazingly powerful effect on our lives. Have you ever noticed this odd situation? Every night, you cook dinner at home, and if anyone asked you for a restaurant recommendation, you would probably say there aren’t many restaurants in your area.

Then you meet someone with a passion for ethnic food, and suddenly you are eating out a couple of nights a week. You find yourself utterly amazed by the number of great restaurants practically on your doorstep.

Not noticing the great restaurants around is no great loss, unless you have a yearning to try different styles of food.

Likewise, if you have no interest in expressing your creativity, it won’t matter if you fail to see all the interesting groups, classes, and forums that are likely to be right under your nose.

When you have happiness and joy in mind, you will find it everywhere. The same goes for doom and gloom too. I know what I’d rather be noticing!

Open your mind and your eyes. Focus on what you truly want, and you will be amazed at how you will begin to find opportunities everywhere.
